If you are rolling in your D16 (sorry guys thats import talk) powered 4 door with your 12 year old sister and your 3 pot smoking homies in the back, NO YOU DIDN'T "GET HIM IN THE BEGINNING"!! A)He just gave you a shot to see what you had before he let his 55 chevy leave 18" wide trend on your ***. or B) He dosen't waste his time or the 2.5 gallons of gas it takes to rev his engine. Torque is what moves you car. You see these cars (rx-7) that has 430hp with 150lbs of torque that is why they are so slow off the launch.

"Muscle cars" You better hope that 450 foot lbs of torque sticks and moves the ****ing Ton and a half American Steel for the whole shot, because the top end is ours. Because well 375hp to all 4 wheels, with a curb weight of 2500lbs well... Detriot is a little slow off the launch."

LOL! Slow off the launch? Ive seen pops 68 SYC put down well over 600lb/ft and almost as many ponies.

Silly guy, 4bangers and turbos, contrare to popular belief do NOT have a chance against a Big Block Detroit vehical thats had as much cash thrown at it. Stick to drifting where Detroit hasn't a chance.

AMEN! and HALLELUJIAH!!

Whoever said anything about Ricers? Last time I checked the majority of us have V6's who are talking about this topic.....and also about drifting where Detroit doesnt have a chance....first thing have you been to Detroit? Also do you have a Detroit made car? and if so have you drifted with it?
http://www.fordtruckworld.com/galler...o04/566636.jpg
That has won me two drifting competitions here in Detroit
Also, to throw a little more on the fire, my dad has a turbo, not to mention its a diesel, and its pushin out 900 hp to the crank and 1350 torque. It blows our mustang out of the picture. So before you go and start crackin on turbos and comparing them to big V8 muscle, talk to someone who has both. "Ricers" meaning Asian made, last time I checked this is Ranger-Forums.....meaning we own Rangers, which doesnt classify any of us as Ricers. Even if they have 4-bangers ITs AMERICAN MADE. As for that old 55' that you were talking about blowing away us "turbo" guys, when Woodward Dream Cruise came around this year I cant tell you how many "big Block" gentleman I left smelling our TURBO diesels black smoke. As I stated above, keep Turbos and Ricers seperate, they are two totally different things.

Thats because its a deisel.......Diesels are capable of unremarkable horse power/torque regardless of a turbo. (thats if they are built correctly too)

Keep turbos and ricers seperate?

What if a ricer puts a turbo in his car?

You have your idea on what a ricer is, just as everyone else does. A ricer isnt necesarilly a civic, prelude, acura whatever it may be, its the stickers, the hugemongous wings that have no use.

A ricer can be fast as hell, and look stupid doing it, there is no doubt about that.

Keep diesels and gas engines seperate, hey are two totally different things

Hes putting those in the same category. 4bangers are one thing, turbos are another. Now saying 4bangers WITH Turbos would have changed the topic altogether....as for my idea of what a ricer is....a ricer is a ricer...small usually import car with a "fast and furious mentality" and even if it was turbo what do you have against that? You mentioned a blower...ok same thing FORCED INDUCTION....One is belt driven and the other is exhuast driven..its personal preference, if you're for superchargers than thats cool, but dont try and put down turbos.....as for our diesel yes its capable of more hp than you would know what to do with but it wouldnt move out of its own way without that turbo.....

and as for the drifting thing....I think ive seen a good deal of drifting especially in the Motorcity as opposed to New York...rolla_guy72 does know what hes talking about...as being a member of the scca I have seen both of those cars compete and win...

Yeah, that drifting is all played out... I know exaclty what drifting is. I was into drifting and JDM cars back in 6th grade when everyone else was into their clear taillights, fiberglass wings, and colored aluminum shift *****... I was drooling over silvias and truenos.
