NOS Sneaky Pete

I was looking at one of those sneaky pete kits offered by NOS, and was wondering how much bhp they can handle?

I'm gonna be brutally honest. The Sneaky Pete is a waste of money. It claims to knock off a tenth of you 1/4 mile times. If you were going to build a 10 second truck, the Sneaky Pete would be good to add that extra edge. But if you are just looking for the 25 more horses a sneaky pet offers, get a reprogrammer. They will add the horsepower permanently and more efficiently.

I was talking to people at an automotive center, and they say that the sneaky pete only works on carbeurated, and I would need a $700-$900 system in order for it to work on my EFI. I was looking at programmers, but my truck is too old for anything I've seen so far

with the ageof your truck and motor and the miles on it, NOS is the last thin I would put into it. your recent parts you had to replace should prove my point.

I know nitrous is a nice flashy add on to brag about, but I'd put that money into replacing parts that you need to have a reliable rig instead of something that going to blow your motor up.

I wouldn't have problem running a 50 shot or so. Get a real kit with a fuel solenoid.

I agree with Andy. I would not put nitrous on your 15 year old motor, its not worth the risk to the old internals. I would do like D said and just put a 302 in your truck.

I wanted it to sell so I'd catch the attention of some kid that would be like "whoa! it has nitrous, that must raise the value another $1000" I know a few people like that, too bad none of them are looking at buying trucks

run you around 500-600 bucks.

Oh I know. My uncle just had a NOS Sniper put into his car and his adjuster saw it when he came to check the damage done to the car. I guess his insurance went through the roof after that.

Where do insurance companies actually check up on their customers? That sucks!
