05-up Grille Installed

Took a lot of trimming along the bottom, but I think it looks way better. It looks strange in the picture due to it being the only clean part of the truck right now, but it looks better than I thought it would.

Undercoated the bottom with some rubberized coating, unplugged the key dinger so I can listen to the radio with the driver's door open, took off the front license plate bracket. Also discovered my ABS light was due to a cut front wheel sensor wire.

On the to-do list in the next few weeks: Have fender wells rust removed, repaired and covered with under coating. Have Bushwacker flares painted and installed and install new, rubber mud flaps. Order rear Detroit TrueTrac, Rigid Industries Dually lights, 05-07' Mirrors (should look better than 08'+ on my truck).

Then I can start deciding on new wheels/tires, and to level or lift.

Thanks for looking.

PS - I do realize it's still not the best looking truck, but considering how long I plan to own it, I'm in no rush big rush to change things.

The truck is looking great. The 05+ frontend makes a world of difference on the older superdutys.

Not sure, thinking about taking off the door "Powerstroke" badges all together and not sure about the fender/tailgate ones. Going to have to take some profile pictures of it and get to work in Photoshop to see what direction to go with it.

---

Mudflaps will be replaced when I have the flares put on. These things have kept the rockers and what-not in cherry condition, but they're diamond plate and very noisy with M/Ts when you live on a gravel road. Plus they make my tires look skinny and truck lower than it is. Bed is armpit high on my 6'1" self . . . not too bad for a stock truck I think. Still higher than my bud's old 2" lifted Duramax, lol.

I need to get some big mudflaps like that for mine. What size tires are on it?

They work great, they're just not the best looking mud flaps around. Would love to find some appropriate size International or Navistar flaps, but haven't had any luck finding anything.

The tires are 305/70R16's, about 32.9" or so. About 25,000 miles on them and they're at about 75% tread, not bad.

---

I think when the time comes (probably spring 2012), I'm going to do the Icon 4" spring system on 35"s and 18 or 20" wheels . . . better start saving and looking into shocks!

Supercab shortbox trucks look out of place not lifted at least a little. Plus with the 4" it'll still be higher than most trucks around here, I can still run 35"s (don't want to run big tires to drop mileage too much and reduce clutch wear) and still, hopefully be able to jump in and out.

I think to find some Navistar mudflaps you'll have to cut down a truck mudflap. 35's should looks good on there. There are 2 guys around here with 4" lifts and 33's, looks too small/out of place. My brother runs 315's on his stock F250 reg cab, it looks pretty good.
