My NEW but OLD F150

I just got this 1995 F-150 XLT 4x4 regular cab with a 5.0L for a great deal, especially for the condition it's in. About the only rust is on the rear cab corners, I found out later that the rear wheel wells were fixed once.

I have a couple questions about it,
what are some good mods I can do with it? (like performance, mpg, looks, etc)
whats a good f150 forum?
how well would it pull my 98 Ranger on a flat bed?

Things already done:
changed oil
new rotors (warped bad)
tinted windows (it sucked @$$ lol)
wired a 7-pin trailer harness

To-Do list:
get it pro tinted a little darker
put a 2" hitch receiver on it
wire a brake controller to it
level the front end out and/or small lift
spray-in bed liner over the rails (plastic POS liner now lol)

Nice looking truck, but if it were mine I'd first remove that chrome trim and change the tails back to stock.

Truck looks pretty good, and first thing I would do is move that 4x4 sticker back down to where its supposed to be.

I have the stock tails. They came with the truck. I just haven't made my mind up yet.
I was thinking about tinting the stock ones... what do you think about that?

Get some better wheels, a little bit of a lift and 33" tires, that would look nice.

Truck has lots of potential.

First thing...get rid of those fugly tails. They don't belong on that truck.
I'd also move that 4x4 sticker down.
Looks like it already has manual hubs, which is good. The auto hubs on these trucks are ****.

If you can't afford any kind of lift kit, but you want the truck to have a meaner stance, i'd suggest 32x11.50's.

A few words of advice though. If you're looking to tow with the truck, i'd keep it stock height with some smaller tires. I have a small lift and a set of 33's on my Bronco, with the 5.8L...its kinda dog with stock 3.55 gearing.

Check out FullSizeBronco.com...there is a lot of good info for Bronco's and F150's of that year.

I also say ditch the tails.
Get rid of the weirdly placed 4x4 decals.
Get some stock Alcoa wheels, or some Classic 2's or similar, and set the truck on some BFG AllTerrains.

I would LOVE to have a truck like that for a daily driver. I want a 4x4 regular cab of that generation

Love the truck, but unfortunately that motor is your weak link. With some time and money you could get some better power out of it. With only 170hp it doesn't have much oomph to it. Love the truck though. We had a 94 regcab flareside in that red with the 5.0 in it. Loved it, but it needed more power.

Meh, I want a longbed lol. A regular cab shortbed just looks too short and not proportional to me.

Even my CCSB does not look proportional to me. I guess in a way I'm still used to the proportions of a crew cab long bed. I was even considering stretching the frame and making it a longbed before long when I pull the bed and cab to clean the frame.

I really like the looks of the Supercab Longboxes...they look great going down the road...My brother's friend had a regcab shortbox when I was little and I've always wanted one since I was about 6

I could, It's only got about 6 months left of payments and then we'll see....I could go out and pay cash for one, but license and insurance on my 2 trucks cost enough...They should just charge by the driver for license...I can only drive one at a time.
