My 1988 F-350

Had a little extra time to get some pics of my F-350 somewhere other than my house. Id figure these would be the first 'real' pics I've taken of it.

Yeah I know. For some reason I can't bring myself to put much money into this truck except replacing stuff that NEEDs replaced. The tires on it are basically new, they're just stock sized baby tires lol.

I like the tires a lot more now then I did when I got it. They've grown on me, the size is 'of the era' I guess lol. And yeah new tires ain't cheap at all. I'd spend damn near as much on a new set of tires as I did on the whole truck.

Its the 351W. 175,000 miles and still runs great.

Nice truck, but I can't help but wonder why you needed/ wanted a fourth truck.

Well here's the story. There was some people a couple of blocks from my house that had this truck for a few years. Every time I drove by it caught my eye. For some reason it just stood out, the height, the fact that it was 4x4 and straight axle, the condition, and I always had a soft spot for this body style.

Anyway I was driving by one day and it had a for sale sign in the window so I called 'em up (on a Saturday) and when I talked to the man he said they were leaving for Colorado (for good) that Monday and if the truck didn't sell they were taking it with them. So I went over and gave it a good looking at and test drive and bought it on the spot. I knew I'd be kicking myself if I let it go since I'd had my eye on it for so long lol.

So long story short, I didn't need it but I knew I'd hate myself if I didn't get it.

Thanks man. I want some larger tires, wheels, and a front add a leaf. I'd also like to get some tint and replace the bench seat with something a bit more comfy. I don't think I'll be mudding in this truck though, I have another vehicle for that kind of stuff.

You should find an older Four Wheel Camper in good condition to throw on that thing.

You know 285s would look great, but I agree that there is something cool about sticking with wheels and tires from that era. Call me crazy...

The truck is looking good. I too have always had a soft spot for that body style.

The 351W is a great engine. I have 145k on my Bronco, and it is still strong.

Thanks man. The truck is starting to show signs of oil pressure problems. I'm gonna throw a high volume oil pump in sometime and hopefully it'll be good to go for lots more miles. I know that ain't gonna be a fun job though lol.

If you're going to put a pump in, you might as well check the rod and main bearings while your at it.
