dumping out white smoke is not a good thing, it would be dumping black smoke if it was the tuner and exhaust and only when accelerating

oh i am well aware it isnt a good thing at all. im not sure what to do with it at this point. it usually stops smoking after it has fully warmed up for the most part. ha

Sounds like the injectors are dumping to much fuel into the cylinders. I would say take it to a dealer but only because I don't work around diesels enough to know what to look for in a faulty injector.

 

wasn't there a recall for an injector problem, Not sure if yours would be under it or not

 

its possible? if i had a warranty i would take it in. i am blocking off the egr coolers tonight. hopefully that makes it better. i am questioning the tunes but i am not sure. i will keep you guys updated. i am going down to get my ranger in 2 weeks. ugh no time for this crap! lol

I am just going to sell the PHP on Ebay. I talked to him yesterday, he is convinced it shuts the EGR down. I disagree. Which I am right, it doesnt shut it down in Race Tunes 1, 2, and 3. Only in 4. Which I will not run a 140HP tune on an untuned transmission. Its a disaster waiting to happen. Spartan I can run 250 hp tune with EGRs shut down and pull 15k lbs all day long. Everyone is doing it.

 

Ah that sucks, it will work out better in the long run though. I want to see some vids with that 250hp tune though! That thing is going to be a beast!

 

I will say the 140hp php tune is a huge shocker when you hammer down. holy crap. Cant even imagine 250. I will know on monday!!

 

I will post a couple pictures later tonight, hopefully going to install my gooseneck hitch.

 

Lets just say when you hit that 500hp and 1000ft/lbs you can pull a 29ft enclosed loaded with 5 sleds and gear up mountain passes, without even realizing the trailer is there....
