Photos of, New Bumper, Light bar, and CB
^^^^^the original, this was also taken before i did the bedliner paintjob.^^^^^
the blue truck is what i was basing mine off of.
the pictures came up out of order, but this is the cb antenna wire, i need some ideas on how to get this hidden.
this is a picture of the bumper i made, after the bedliner paintjob, i hit it as hard as i could with a sledge hammer, and all that happened was rust came off the head of the hammer.
picture of the cb i got
the mic comes out of the middle of the two seats
closer of the CB, but blurry.
here you can see the light bar, with no lights, *soon to be put on* and also the CB antenna
rear bumper, and light bar finished and mounted.
the one bolt that hold my plate on
light bar close up
how do you like my behind?
light bar, again. how i mounted it.
this is Adam, he had a jeep, he pulls me out of the mud, playgrounds, snow. i wanna be like him. he is also the one that helped me with all of the metal work.
front
the bumper specks.
the tube is 4 and a half inched round, and 1/4 inch thick.
the caps are just made out of sheet metal welded on there.
the round things that you can see welded onto the bumper are so you can stick a rope or recovery strap, or even a D shackle.
the main part of the bumper is welded to angle iron metal stuff. ( i do not know what it is called, but its steel, with an angle in it. and that bolts right into the original bumper holes. so if i wanted to, i could take it off, and sell it.
its al painted with the same bedliner i painted the bottom half of my truck.
the light bar.
this is a 1.3/4 inch steel pipe, welded to sheet metal, that is bolted into the door jam of the truck. i got the idea of this light bar from the KC light bar.
the CB
well. it was a cheap, 80 dollar CB, that was on sale at radioshack for 30 dollars. i got it cause one of my friends had bought the same one, 5 min before me. so it was an impulse buy. i didnt even do research.
the antenna, is like $30 dont know that specks on that either
SO! what do you think?

Meh, not too bad I guess. The light bar will look ok once you get lights on it.
That is an odd place to mount a CB. Seems kinda hard to get too...to grab the mic, change channels, exc. You have to turn your whole body around just to get to it. I'd re think that if it were me...
And the rear bumper isn't too bad. Your truck would look better with a square rear bumper. The round one just doesn't fit as well as it could...and the holes to put the D rings look weak as hell

yea, im waiting to get my taxes back, and ill get a lift and tires
im only using the cb to talk to two of my friends, and we run the same channel. its not that hard to mess with the settings, i can reach my hand back with ease and mess with it. and also my mic has buttons to change the channel if i have to.
im going to drill holes into the bar, and have the bolts in them, vs having tabs on them.. hard to explain, but ill put some pics on when i get em done.
i know the holes look week, but they have a pretty heavy weld on both sides.
but the bumper has enough room to be able to wrap a recovery strap, or a heavy rope. around the actual bumper, and use that D shackle hole to secure it.(hard to explain, but its the same principle as how a winch holds its cable.) ill post a pic of what i mean in the daylight
dont diss my sub....lol...

i wish i had a hitch, but i couldn't get one in time, so its whatever.
