Cab Light Install

Well today im going to start drillin some more holes in the ranger...): i bought cab lights from a super duty at my dealership and bought aftermarket replacement smoke lense. I threw in some white led bulbs, so overall it should look sweet. Here are pics of the lights and the dman wiring harness i had to make up...P.S. for whoever wants to know im using a parallel circuit type for this, so if one bulb goes out the rest of them wont and i can easily replace it.

more pics later when its done

Please tell me you are putting them on a SD and not the ranger. Personally dont think they will look right on a ranger, they are toooo big.

Its personal preference I guess, do you have any need for them???? Maybe a smaller light for a smaller truck. Have to wait and see what they look like I guess.

UPDATE!!!!!

ok my camera is acting up in the dark and doesnt wanna take some decent shots so posted the the good ones, but i also got some pics while i was drilling and installing them while there was light out.

i love em! i think it fits just perfect.

And i thought i would throw these in too. I got a hood scoop from a friend for $40 and put it on my ranger.

and yes i know theres a gap in the scoop, its cuz theres a little dent in the hood.

i LOVE how cab lights look on this truck, I'm still debating on whether I should do it or not if i can get clear lenses or not. I'm interested to see how the ones you have look on a ranger

Those are sweet! I'd do this to my truck if I could find smaller clearance lights.

Those SD ones look a lil big, looks good on your truck though. I'd go with amber bulbs though.

I think they look really good. Kinda gives it a cooler look.

ona side note. What is the point of them on a SD? like is it for extra visability for other cars to see it or what????

SOOO! lol

One of the reasons why i did it with my truck is because of the body style...it looks like the older f-150-250's jus shrunken down.

well no because the rangers from 93 and up have rounded edges curved surfaces (round tailights, round side mirrors) but anything 92 and older is more boxy/squarish type.

I really thought that the SD ones would be too big, but in all honesty, it doesn't look bad at all. The smoked lenses look pretty good too.

my suggestion is dont get clear lense, they dont reeally look that great and they wont look as good cuz clear anything fades. With the smoke it atleast "hides" some of the internals of the cab light base.
