New member of the family! [many pics, but 56k ok!]
Well...no, a poor innocent Japanese girl isn't pregnant [at least I hope not!], but there is a new member, to the ever growing family of Swoop-mobiles!
Mustang's and Ranger's go together like Peanut Butter and Jelly -- so when I found this JEWEL of a 1995 Ranger Splash...I wanted to know more.
Upon further investigation, I noticed that it was an "X" in the VIN number! Oh gosh, I said...it's a 4.0! Now, I bet it's a freakin' Automatic.. NOPE! 5-speed. Well, I know it has to be trashy and super high mileage. Well, this thing is super nice, and relatively low mileage [93,000] for a 1995. I mean, it IS 10 years old. That's less than 10,000 miles a year. But it has bench seats, right? Buckets! It's a damn near twin to my old 1994 Splash.
NOTHING, will ever replace my old Splash. It was perfect. I do, however, like the new dash, new seats and layout of the inside of this truck, and lower miles. My Dad is going to look at my old Splash as well, on Wednesday. It has 130,000 miles, no power windows or locks, but is still very nice, plus it has a sunroof I put in. I am gonna see if I can buy mine back, do some swapping and modding between them, and then off the other one. Here are some memory pictures of my old Splash...His name was "Stan"...
This new one has power windows and locks, tint on the rear window -- and something odd...a Chrome front bumper, instead of the body color painted bumper. That is easily fixed with a bumper and a phone call. No, it hasn't been wrecked. The guy said he changed it as the paint was coming off the steel, and he had a thing for Chrome. Whatever...easily fixed, like I said.
Nice tires, chrome Splash wheels, immaculate interior...beautiful.
The only thing I don't like is the chromie bumper, and the non "93-94" Splash grill -- but I can fix that as well.
Here is the new one, that is now mine:
Now I have me a perfect Mustang, and a darn near and soon to be, perfect Splash. Both of my favorite vehicles, along with a Skyline in Japan...not bad for 22 years old, 'eh? Now I just need a house. Oh, I didn't tell you, did I? More on that, later...
Discuss, please.

Hah, no this isn't in Japan. It's about 30 minutes away from my home in Michigan.
Yep, factory bucket seats, everything is stock, and I promise not to mod! Riiight.
But yeah, this thing is really a Splash, I know what to look for and all that, it just has a Chromie bumper. Power everything and totally nice.
Thanks, everyone for the nice comments, you know I couldn't stay away from the Rangers! It's in my blood!
