Give us some info on your truck, we can help better that way. The cheapest way to lift 3" is with a body lift. You can get one for $120 from Summit Racing, thats what a lot of members choose to do. Do underglow if you want too, don't let us decide your mods for you. If you think it will be cool do it. Paint is all about prep, the better qualtiy paint you use and better prep you do the better it will turnout/longer it will last.

What does your truck look like? Color, is it a 4x4 or Edge? Ext cab or single cab? Flareside bed, etc

The 3 black trucks in these pictures have body lifts, the red one has a body lift and suspension lift. All of these are torsion bar trucks

The blue one on the left is stock height. Suspension lifts for your truck will cost 1500+

The only one that is being made that is cheap is the Superlift, the one by RCD has been discountined but you might be able to find it still.

If you think it's already got a BodyLift, just look in the rear wheel wells. If the bed is sitting on 3" tall black hockey puck looking blocks and the bed isn't sitting directly on the frame, then it has one. Otherwise, here is my 99 4x4 with a 3" BL and 35s.
