Alright I need some opinions here
Okay so today I was at ford getting some stuff done to the mustang. They I was waiting and just walking around and found a f150 on the lot I really like. Now I posted a while back about my struggling decision on my dads f150 and what to do with it. I am considering trading it in on this one. It's more "me" and would suit me much better then my dads f150, but part of me still wants to keep it. So I'm looking for your thoughts. What you think the pros and cons of trading would be ect. So let me know.
Cars for Sale: 2004 Ford F150 FX4 in Huntsville, AL 35816: Truck Details - 284516987 - AutoTrader.com
2004 F150 FX4 ext cab 5.4 with 82k miles.
or
2003 F150 SCREW 5.4 2wd.
I dont really need the crew cab as we have the fusion to haul people and the fx4 would have plenty of room IF I needed to carry some people around, but its more useful. Has a full size bed vs the 5.5 foot bed on the 03, but the 03 has a tonnue cover on it. So that limits how much I can carry in it. 04 has the more powerful 5.4 which would be even better for towing when I need it.
So what's your thoughts?

I'd have to keep the 03 honestly, only way I'd trade it would be for another crew cab. Thats just me though, extended cabs don't do it for me.

yah it is way to much.
I paid less than that for my 04 nbs f150 lariat with 59k miles last april.
for what its worth, i sold my f150 after owning it for 1 year, I went to do the sparkplug change and every single one was seized in the head. Ford wanted way to much to fix it, and it was missing bad (i think one got messed up when I tried to remove it). I would stay away from that truck

Keep the 03. You're going to lose your *** on a trade and lose your dads truck. If the 03 is in good condition, why risk buying a used truck that could have problems, especially if you don't need it? Save the money, save the truck.
If you decide to get rid of the 03 anyway, invest the money.

I'd take the FX4 but thats just me. I probably wouldn't trade the other truck in as it'll be salt in the wounds when they offer you peanuts for something that has so much value to you. I know my dad would want me to be happy so if that meant selling his truck to get what I wanted then thats what I'd do. It would be tough but I'd take the time to sell it to the right private individual (read that as someone who won't tear the hell out of it.)
I know every part of the country is different but I paid 16,500 for my 05 FX4 about 2 months ago with 50K on it and loaded with leather and everything but the heated seats. I think I'd pay about 13ish for that one. I went with the supercab and love it. The crews are nice but I wanted the 6.5 ft bed and the crews look stupid with the long bed.

I drive them all each weak. The mustang and ranger are the play toys pretty much. f150 is around if i need to tow anything and the fusion is mostly my moms, but i drive it some too.
