Hey guys as most of you know i just bought me a new to me '05 f150 crew cab. well i want to mount my cb, but really dont know where since it has the center console..

any ideas would be appreciated

 

Personally, I'd put mine on the roof, but if you don't really want to drill into your roof, you could mount it to the side of the console. Do you have an interior picture?

 

Is yours the style that has the little tray type thing on the center of the dash. A buddy of mine mounted a block of wood to the bottom of the CB and just kinda set it up there and stuffed the wires behind the dash...

 

Here is what I did with my 99. I put an expy console in it but you can do similar to the stock console.

 

I was trying to figure out a place to put one as well. The center console would work but you would need somewhere to put an external speaker so you could here it. I want it hidden though, I think anywhere else it would look trashy in the cab.

not entirely sure how your console works, my truck, i have my cb taped to the side of my console, using lepage no more nails tape (i cannot get it off, i tried a few days ago) it's on the front of where the cup holders are.... i'm not going to describe it... hold on...



if i were to do it again, it would be put on the end of the console, in line with the coin slots...
