That Ecoboost option

So the Ecoboost 3.5 V6 came out but a $4000 option?!

But with tq as good as the Boss 6.2 and hearing that base 3.7 V6 scream (similar sound of the Eco), I guess it's worth the 4k add on. I would stick with a 5.0 though but only because of that classic muscle V8 sound.

Its only a $4000 option in the low end trucks. If you get a lariat with the ecoboost its only $750 more than the 5.0 and its almost $2000 less than the 6.2.

I'd leave it where it should be, in a car

I think even the new 3.7's are nice. I don't see anything wrong with the ecoboost option. I'd definitely consider it if I was in the market.

My target would be the XL reg can 8ft bed with chrome package to the STX model trucks, so yeah $4k would be too much lol. I get a truck for it's purpose, not the fancy "Escalade" types. But an Ecoboost XL truck is tons cheaper then a Taurus SHO :)

I haven't heard from anyone who drove one that said that. The torque curve looks pretty awesome. Fuel economy isn't bad. It's no diesel but the characteristics sound very diesel like with a lot less cost.

I guess I should have taken pictures of my dad's F-150 with chrome all over it hauling brick and pulling supplies on a trailer. Just because you have a good looking XLT model doesn't mean it can't work like a base model!

If I were to buy a new f150, I think I would get the ecoboost motor.

I was refferring to the Lariat, Platinum, King Ranch, and HD editions. They're very nice but too fancy to get dirty, unless of course you treat it like Megan Fox.

agreed. I always felt bad when the truck was dirty. Never had it in me to go out playing in the mud
