well we are due to get a new brush truck at the fire department and we are going to place the current truck to a silent auction.
its a 1994 7.3 idi has just over 24,000 miles on it, 4x4 auto trans. ext cab long bed . it also has a winch bumper with a winch. its a xl custom vinyl seats and floor. has 33s on it, the pump and tank do not come with the truck. i am wanting some thoughts on what its worth and any other ideas thanks,

clean truck for sure, but being an super cab long bed auto idi truck they are run of the mill. Average price is 3k-5k. being that one is as low mileage as it is you could see 6k if someone really wanted it. If you were to buy it you can do some stuff to an IDI for power but realistically you are stuck at 250rwhp for the life of that motor. Keep the coolant clean and it will last forever or until the body rots off

I'd take it. If it goes to auction though, the price generally gets run up pretty high. Around here, with no rust on that truck, you could easily get $8000 out of it. They're like gold around here.

It has one small area of rust behind the rear tire near the bumper. Around here our auction stay low. eOut of service police cars go for 600 bucks running and driving. So I'm not really sure what this will go for.

It will go cheap. The idi isnt a popular platform unless its someone who is into them.

Keep that motor clean and coolant fresh like said before. The body will rot out before that motor stops.

Looks like a pretty cool truck. I'm not familiar with what the IDI's are worth...but if its a good running truck i'd say 4-5k would be a good deal

My idiot brother-in-law had a 1991 F250 similar to that, it was a 4x4 but it was a stick and it had 140k on it..

He was offered $6,000 for it and declined because his father gave him the truck, the next day he drove it into a lake and totaled it with minimum coverage insurance, I laughed my butt off for a week...

but yeah, $6,000 should be easy.

edit: I'm sorry, I didn't see that this thread was 3 weeks old..
