Fog Lights

Fog Lights
Okay so I am thinking about putting some fogs on the truck. I am going to look for a bumper with them in it and put that on but I have a question. Are your guys fogs connected to the headlight switch or into a separate switch?
Does anyone have any wiring diagrams to do this? I am at work and can't search right now. But its boring at work so I can be on here. lol
I wouldn't mind if the fogs turned on with the headlights so what about wiring them into the headlight switch instead of a separate switch?

As long as you use a relay for the fogs, you can have them activated by the running lights, headlights, etc.
I don't advise running them in with the headlights wiring, the OEM wiring probably can't handle the added load of the fogs.
Using a relay & fuse triggered by the headlights, etc. will let the fogs be powered directly from the battery.
Check out my photobucket pages, I've got a basic wiring diagram uploaded somewhere.

So they are wired into the headlights then correct. I would rather have then automatic because I know if I have them on a switch I will forget to turn them off. lol

Yeah, fog lights can be on with just the parking lights, low beams don't have to be on.

On F150 the foglight switch is part of the headlight ****. You pull it out to engage them. So if you wanted to run stock foglight setup you would have to get the stock foglight switch as well.
Not sure about running it to auto come on with the headlights, I'm sure you could wire it up to the headlight switch but have an independent relay and fuses.
