Noise only when accelerating from a stop (vid)

Okay, I have a 1995 ranger xlt super cab. It is a 3.0 5spd.

On to the noise, I really only notice it from a complete stop when I slowly accelerate to start moving. It's sort of a creaking sound. I don't believe it is in the engine, my guess would be somewhere in the driveshaft. Even if you start from a slow roll, you don't hear it. Almost always has to be from a complete stop.

Here's a link to the vid, not the best quality...but you can hear it the best around the 25 and 34 second marks.

Any ideas?

I'm really figuring something in the driveshaft, it almost sounds like something grinding too. I'll try to get a better vid up when the wife gets home, I was taping this one solo and was afraid to really get it under there...didn't want to run over the camera.

While I was searching on rangerpowersports, I heard something about a carrier bearing? Is that a possibility? I'm not sure what it is, but I do have a two-piece driveshaft.

I don't think you have a carrier bearing like you said, since you don't have a 2 piece shaft, but others will be along soon that have more experience than myself. I would say if possible, try to get a better sound clip too if you can.....

My truck does have a two piece driveshaft. We made another quick vid (I had help this time). It sounds like it is coming from around either where the driveshaft goes into the transmission, or where they join. Not sure

Here's the other vid.

Thanks.

If nothing else, U-joints are a quick and cheap; you can do it yourself. As these guys said, id try that first.

Is your truck lifted?
