I'm merely stating he painted his deep wedgewood blue, not black as stated in an above post. If you did want to color match it, AND you don't have plans on putting the valence back on, Go out and get yourself a XL upper bumper. It's the "non-edge" bumper....like on the 2wd XLTs. That's what I'm going to do. They are painted either grey or black. I think it looks more complete. My little brother has an XL...Check out the comparo shot of his and my trucks:
Int3rc3ptor painted his chrome bumper. He has an XLT. You can see the chrome through the paint chips. When he painted his, and I saw what it looked like, It made me go out and get a non-chrome XL upper bumper to color match.
