03 4L stock exhaust size?

I am wondering what my stock exhaust size is? Is it 2.25 or 2.5 because I am looking at a delta 40 series flowmaster (just the muffler that I would weld on myself) and I can get one for a 2.5 inlet size and I would like to know if there is anything I would need to do to make it's all work like what size reducers, clamps etc.. Please let me know

I'm pretty sure it'll only be 2". You can just get a 2 1/4" though and bump it up with an adapter if those are your only options.

I believe it is 2" before the muffler and 2.25" after

Sure it will work. You'll need a 2.5"-2" reducer and a 2.5"-2.25" reducer though. Take it to a shop and have them weld it in for you.

Yes, the muffler you linked is a 2.5" muffler. Just take it to a shop and have them do the install. I installed a muffler on my ranger, but had a shop weld a muffler on my 150. I will not install a muffler myself again. Best $50 I've spent

So put the 2.5 end of the reducer to the new muffler and the 2 inch part to my pipe? And sorry for all the questions

Went with the super 44 instead :D. Now will it be louder than it is right now later? Cause right now it's a little quiet and I really want the noise :D

The super 40 on my ranger didn't get louder or quieter. The 40 series on my 150 got quieter. What you hear is pretty close to what you get

Take it to a muffler shop and have them weld it in. Any competent one can make a simple spacer out of 2 1/4" pipe (fits over 2", inside of 2 1/2") to take up the space so its easier to weld it on.
