I suppose I should have introduced myself in the into forum, but this is my second thread. When I have a photo of my truck, I'll give myself a proper intro.

Here is my situation. I had already posted a thread about seats in the interior forum, but now it seems I'm embarking on something a little more complicated.

I have a 2005 Edge Extended Cap. I dislike the hood and grille, so I'm putting a honeycomb grille from a 2002 along with the 2002 4x4 hood. Problem being. Ford changed the header panel, so the mounts, at least on top (screws) do not line up. I'm more than certain the that the hood latch will not line up either.

So, I've come to the conclusion that I need to replace my 2005 header panel with a 2002. The headlights are the same, there should be no problem.

So this is what I'll have:

2002 4x4 Hood
2002 4x4 Grille
2002 Header Panel

What else would I need? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure how similar the swap is... but I know I asked pretty much the same thing about doing the swap with onto a '99.

Thanks for the offer, but the only thing I need now is the header panel. I already have the hood and grille. Once I get everything completed, I'd be more than happy to sell it to either of you.

I see you have a 2003. Do you have an extended cab? If so, and you like the 2005 style seats, would you be interested in trading? I have the 60/40 split bench, black and grey, cloth. Lemme know.

 

all you would need is the new hood grille suround and header pannel, fenders and stuff are for years that dont have the same headlights

 

Sweet man. Any advice on hood latch? It looks like it may be in a different position on the 05 than it was on the 02.

 

isn't the latch attached to the header pannel?

eitherway I believe you can remount the hood latch plate.

 

Honestly, I don't know. I hadn't thought of selling them until you guys replied to this post.

Not only that, but this is my daily driver, so I need to get the 02 stuff on it before I sell the 05 stuff.
