1998 rangers seats do fit in a 1989 ranger........ With modification

AS some know I got seats from fullthrotle00. They dont fit in the 1989 ranger at all mounting holes off and no way to just drill new ones.

So only solution to the problem was to get some 89-94 seat tracks and mount them to the seats. well cant find no seats cheap enough to do that plus seat tracks in my 89 are tore up.

So I decided to drill out the rivets connecting the mounting part to the slide part and then weld the 89's mount to the sliding part on the 98 seats

Gonna work out very well Im stoked now

1998's slide already took it's mount off

Ya got hit with a little. I actually pulled over after I got onto I-55 and just rolled the cover up cause it was hard to see out the back window. I was driving just west of St. Louis and sun was out couple white clouds and BAM down pour for about 3/4 of a mile

Ya anything is possible with a grinder drill and welder

I got the idea to drill out the rivets and do it this way from a hotrod forum
