Ford Ranger mistaken as F-150

Was On my way to college one morning and got pulled over by a campus cop for "avoiding traffic control device" and got a citation, the citation itself was interesting. The cop had gotten the year model of my truck right, but wrote my Ranger down as an F150. I thought it was pretty humorous (especially since it says "RANGER" on both sides of the truck and size difference to). I got more details provided in the video below.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oymd2j4dxDQ

What do you guys think? I know the Ranger acts as a mini Fseries, but how many people have mistaken a Ranger for an F150? Do cops have something that helps them identify a vehicle?, or is it that it is left to the officer alone to know the vehicle? which would be my guess. EDIT: BTW just thought I would note cop had an explorer.

lol now that is more ridiculous than my story. If I were you I would be most offended of the fact that he identified my truck as a chevy. How far did the situation progress from there?

@04RangerDave

I would but 1. its only $10, I would waste more than $10 in time and money trying to get that specific 10 back, 2. cop wasn't to much of a douche except when he accused me of drug possession, 3. This is at my college campus, I want to keep it in the cops mentality that I have an F150 so he can fear me all the more, lol.

@JoshK @wckzac

lolz, no that would be interesting though to have a plasma tv in the bed. Its a license plate embedded in the bed liner. It fit right in with the help of double sided sticky tape.

@sullys_ranger

I have never of heard of it before until now, what was your situation when you got accused of having an F150?

@ every1 telling me to fight it.

Look at my response to 04RangerDave, that and yes it would be fun to fight it but its not worth it. Also this is at a college campus,if I **** this cop off, I **** them all off ending up not being good for me.

@hurley . That is a most frighting comment, lol.

That's hilarious considering they stopped making cavaliers after 05.

I haul a lot of scrap metal with my buddy on the side when I'm not too busy with other things. His dad one day goes "Hey, that's a Ranger? I thought it was an F150 with all the stuff you've hauled with it."

You probably could have, how much was the speeding ticket? if it was over $100 I would of fought it.

@powerranger262

How's that? Is it that this thread doesn't relate to you and since you consider yourself better than every1 else, you pass it off with a bad jab of a comment.?
