Will these tires fit

I have a 2005 ford ranger edge stock, and my buddy is selling his fierce attitude 285/70r17 tires, I'm wondering will they fit without lifting it and if so will they scrub

That measures out to 33x11.5. So without a lift they will rub.

Do you know how much I'd have to lift it and what would be the best lift to get

You could max out your torsion bars but then it'd ride like ***. Also what gears do you have?

I have no idea, I figured I'd have to lift it to be able to put them on

Cheapest would be a body lift. It's a 3 inch lift. And about 250 bucks if I recall correctly. Get a few guys together and you can get it done in a weekend. Other option is a spindle lift. Little more spendy. Then just do shackles and an AAL for the rear

Yeah I'll probably just get a body lift, I seen one online around 250$

Could do explorer leafs in the rear as well. Or some sky jacker leafs. Lots of options for the rear

We're posting at the same time lol this is getting confusing. Body lift is a good cheap way to get tire clearance

Cool. Once we get that code we'll be able to figure out what gears you have

If they are 4.10's you'll be fine running 33's. Since you have a 3.0 I'd be willing to bet that you have 4.10's but we'll see.

Alright thanks man, I'm not real smart in all of this, that would be good if I didn't have to lift it, I wish there was a way I could send you a picture of my truck

No problem. If you didn't lift it the tires would look pretty stuffed. The body lift, like you said, is only 250. So you might as well. Then you wont have to worry about rubbing or anything.

I just put some 32x11.5 bfg KO2's on my truck. I also have 15x8 American Racing outlaw 2's with 3.75 back spacing. I like the look.

Here's a pic for reference
