2008 Ford Ranger Fog lights

Does anyone know a site or anyplace besides a dealer I can find stock fog lights for a 2008 XLT? And also, would it be safe to wire them straight into the parking lights and not addiing a seperate switch for the fog lights?

If you run a relay and just use the power off the parking lights to trigger the relay, you should be fine. Try Certifit for lights.

So you don't currently have fog lights right?...youre adding fogs??

Stock foglamp equipped trucks are wired in a way that you turn on your parking lights, and your fogs can be on if the fog switch is on. Sounds like your going to make it look factory! sweeeet!

it will be easier to just get some round fogs(08's have round ones), just get someone with an 08 on here to give you the measurements... I'd suggest www.summitracing.com

A friend of mine knows someone that works at advanced auto, he called up a ford dealer to find out the measurements thinking i could just get some round aftermarkets and it would be fine, well he ended up getting me 4 inch round lights which the lights themselves arent bad looking but when i played it on the truck just see they looked realy crappy and i knew i wouldnt be satisfied. 4 inch is just a little bit to small so they wobble around and they seemed near impossible to mount without making a mess down there. it was then that i decided stock would be best cuz they will right and look right on the truck trouble is now i cant find them, and dealer wasnts 200 without any wires at all. i think i might just put the extra cash out and have my buddy wire them rite to parking lights. the extra money will be worth them looking better on the truck
