Ford decided to stay on the cheap side and instead of using a new wheel design, they are using these MAZDA B2300 B3000 B4000 95-97 ALLOY WHEEL RIM 15 X 7 49:eBay Motors (item 280336353071 end time Oct-17-09 14:19:54 PDT)
for the new Ranger (XLT) which were used on the mid to late 90's B-Series. I used to have them myself, actually a nice wheel....but, REALLY? How about Alcoa's, or the 5 spoke FX4 wheels. Or something besides a 10-15 yr old wheel design. The only difference with the new wheels is the insets on the design seem to be a dark graphite compared to a polished look on the rest of the wheel. Go to Ford.com and build an XLT Ranger and you'll see what I mean. Mazda wheels + Ford centercaps = weird.
Also available are the 5 spoke 16" FORD RANGER 5 SPOKE NEW WHEELS ORIGINAL RIMS:eBay Motors (item 200387159115 end time Oct-23-09 0641 PDT)
models that have been in production for a few years.
