Brake fluid as stated above. mine took a total of 3 days/three coats. this is an explorer radio bezel which is why there is two "fog light" holes. one was originally for the rear defrost since its from an explorer. Working on filling in the rear wiper indicator hole. haven't finished yet.

oh yeah, wear nitrile gloves. that **** will burn your hand pretty quick if you're trying to scrub it without the gloves on

beginning

end

Need to do some more sanding here and get some glazing putty on and sand away (idk when ill get back to it)

Man I wish I had thought of that when I painted mine. I took me like three straight hours to sand that thing down and scrape off all the rubber coating. Once you get it to flake off you can peel it off in chunks. I used medium grade steel wool and a couple of paint scrapers to get 'er done.

Though, soaking it in brake fluid seems so much easier!

it loosens it up and i guess it melts it off. some take fewer than what mine took but some also take more. be patient with it and let the fluid do its job. I checked and worked mine twice a day
