that is a long story....but in a short version, i did, but i stripped out the bolt and nut that will hold the tire......sooooo i am thinking about getting a flat mount instead......

i fought with that for 3 hours last night trying to get it off....glad i did it at home and not on the side of the road ..........so as of now the spare is in the garage......what pissed me off most is it scratched the **** out of my new wheel that has never seen the road...

I built the platform/storage box in the back to eliminate the need for one in the truck bed. Could attempt that with drawers so you can keep your subs on top of it.

I have a cover sitting in my backyard. When I bought my truck it had a toolbox with a hinged tonno cover on it I think the branmd is checkmate. It doesnt have any of the connectors it would bolt to but it cant be hard to find something to work it was hinged with gas shocks to. Its seen better days but if you want it you can have it.

I made my own, but it doesn't tilt. It was cheaper for me to do it this way. I got my regular size tonneau cover on sale at meijers for 110 bucks (I did some checking, and extang makes it) then I measured and cut the rails and took the whole assembly to a boat canvas shop, and the woman shortend the material and put new snaps on for 40 bucks. thats 150 dollars for the whole thing. Just a FYI if you are looking to save some $$$$.

Doc had one. He had a guy that did like boat upholstry cut one down and sew it but you have to live with a seam across it. Still cleans it up a bit and gives you dry space.
