Do Rangers Suck?

I've noticed nobody that has recently crashed their Ranger (or Mazda B) is replacing it with another Ranger. What does this say about our trucks? Are Rangers really just crappy little econo-box trucks? I like my truck and would probably buy the same thing if (God forbid) it was totalled tomorrow. I might get a 4 cyl. next time though, or maybe a different color, but I would get a Ranger or a Mazda B for sure. Do you like your truck and would you buy another one? Or, do you hate it and you only bought it because it was cheap?

I like my truck. 3+ years after buying it, I still look forward to driving it every day. But then I've modded the living daylights out of it, so...

I would get another Ranger. The only way it would be something else is if I felt I needed a big tow behind RV or 24' Bay boat. I would go with the 6.0 powerstroke if that were the case and BullyDog it and blow one big puff of black smoke through the 1/4 mile track.

myself and gearhead upgraded from our accidents. I went from a '93 Ranger Ex Cab 4.0L v6 4x2 to an 04 FX4 L2. I forget what gear had, but he went up to the FX4 L2 also. I LOVED my 93, I test drove 150s, but I loved my ranger. I had to have another!

I really like my truck but there are two things I dont like about it: my (automatic)trans. SUCKS big time! I have had it in the shop 3 times (same problem each time) in about 25000 miles and i think its gonna have to go in again, the other thing I don't like about it is you can only fit 2 people in the cab comfortably unless there is a good-lookin girl in the middle than I love it! Other than that I love my truck!

If I totalled my truck i would buy an Fx4 L2 instead of one like mine, I would miss my "deep wedgewood blue" color though since its not made anymore.

I hate to say it, but I'd probably go with something with a larger aftermarket...ie, Jeep.

The few companies who make things for the 01+ Ranger 4x4s want way to much $$$ for their products.

I would buy another Mazda truck , 4x4 this time though. This is my second ranger/mazda, I wouldn't buy anything else. Don't like toyota's 2 much money , nissans are just fugly , not a chevy guy at all.

I like the truck alot but I drive it like a rally car. I want somehitng short and fast with excellent handling. I like not having room to cart people around alot better than when i had my explorer. but the 4x2 xlt no locker limits how much fun I'd like to hve in the truck

I'd get an old box style ranger and build it as a trail rig (5.0 d60's atlas 2 etc) and an f250 ext cab powerstroke for my towrig/DD.

personaly i love my ranger, not flashy at all cuz im in debt on it and my dad wont let me do anything to it because its "his" truck but more then likely i would get a ranger again, but 4.0 and 4x4.... the only reason i would get a bigger truck is becasue of my height...

i love my ranger i am on my seccond one since my first one got totaled, i would eather get another ranger but newer and fewer mileage to do more mods or hop up to a f250 for work and play, i really want a plow truck for the city they make some good money, but more them likley i cant aford that so id get a newer ranger and i will Never Buy a DODGE or CHEVY truck the ranger and fords line of trucks are the best looking and i think the best running trucks

As much as I'd like to believe that, it's not true IMHO. The Silverados were much better trucks until the new Gen. (2004) F150 was introduced.

If I were to get another Ranger, it'd be a 2004 Level II or a low mileage 1997 4x4 4.0 extended cab with manual hubs and t-case.
