I was looking thru my extended service plan and the book says that if i modified my drive-train, chassis, put over-sized tires and wheels on or lifted the truck that it would void my warranty. my dealership treats me well and stuff and i dont want to make a bad name for myself telling them they need to fix my $h!t after i went off roading. I talked to the guy that my whole family has bought their fords from and he said doing a body and tires shouldn't be a problem because im not modifying the factory ride stance. All Im looking to do is put 265/75/16 tires and a 3" pa body lift on my 06.

Do you really think my dealer is gonna tell me to go pound sand when i come in for a repair?

If something is stressed on the suspension they could blame the larger mass from the tires. If they used a BL as an escape route thats a new low.

 

I just went in and never told them anything... if they asked, I told them I bought the truck that way and they always fixed it... My warranty has ran out since then so I do all my own repairs now.

 

Under the Magnuson- Moss act, The warranty cannot be voided as long as the aftermarket isn't what cause the failure.

Your fine as long at you don't run 40s on the stock axles and expect them to repair it when your axles break.
