on the waag bars specially made for our trucks, there are these thick pieces of rubber over the ends. How the heck do you get these off, and then back on? My bar is starting to show signs of rust, and since its sitting in my garage, and my truck doesnt even apear to be coming home anytime soon, I figure now is a good time to sandblast, prime and paint it. However, I cant sandblast it till the rubber ends are off.. I thought bout a heat gun, but i think that would melt the rubber, so, any other ideas?

 

I think it would help you to post up some photos. Not too many people have the WAAG bars on the truck to be able to go out and look.
