Full-Size Fever is RAMPANT

It seems like a lot of people on here have the full-size fever... bad! It’s almost pandemic on R-F!
I got the fever, myself...

Those of you who gave in to the weakness; why'd you do it?
Any regrets?

I got hit with the fever pretty bad. I didn't just impulse buy a full-size, either... it was premeditated! I had the nerve and patience to wait 6 weeks while my truck was being custom ordered. I kicked the Ranger to the curb like the last 10 years together meant nothing. And I still don't regret it.

Anyone else feeling the 'fever?
lol!

Idk but its annoying as hell for the rest of us, you all are dropping like flies and pretty soon this will be 4x4-Forums or something similar.

Granted, you all have very nice trucks :)

I just think that if you (not saying anyone in particular) are going to post pictures of your 150, 250, Jeep, Chevy, or w/e else you bought....you shouldnt rag on anyone who lets say, perhaps drives a '94 Accord who used to drive a Mazda. It's the same thing.

End rant. And for the second time, I really like all your trucks :) But we need a seperate sub forum or something for new vehicles purchases or something, I hate logging on and the 3 out of 10 threads are F-150s.

I needed the extra room. The regular cab ranger just isn't big enough to haul me, the fiance, and two dogs around in lol. No regrets here since I still have the ranger and can drive it anytime I feel the need.

BTW I wanted something nicer to drive. Daily driving the ranger was becoming more of chore than anything. I LOVE getting it out and driving it every once in a while now, but I couldn't go back to driving it daily.

I don't see myself getting rid of the Mazda anytime soon. I just like the idea of all the advantages of a small truck and couldn't see myself driving some big lug of a full size truck, especially when I don't need it. Although I have been dreaming of having a third gen Camaro in addition....

Well, its not that they are annoying themselves Paul, its logging on and seeing F150 this F150 that. I hope like hell guys like Brian and Trent stick around to shoot the sh*t about Rangers, they know whats up and are very insightful. Beard and Ryan have both so it doesn't really pertain to them. I just hate how people rag on Katie for her Accord then kiss everyones *** who has an F150....its hypocritical.

There should be a seperate sub forum for new or secondary vehicles that DOESNT come across the front page, whether it be a F150 or a 1993 Nissan Sentra.

well i have the fever, but probably won't be able to cure it. My reasoning is that i may as well drive the f-150 i have wanted for about 5 years now, as i am getting near to the gas mileage that i will with a v-8

Do I agree that its hypocritical? yes, but some members bring it upon themselves and it just happens.

I wanted a full size for work, so I got the Dodge.

I had it for a year, drove it for maybe half of that, and decided I wanted something with more room, less miles, and less stuff to fix.

I'll tell you right now, at the rate I have been going lately, my new truck will have 50K by October. I've been driving a lot more for work lately, and I have been putting on about 1000 miles every two weeks, which is FAR from normal. It's usually about 300 miles every two weeks.

Outgrew the ranger, got a sport trac. It just wasn't big enough, felt cramped after a while. I wanted something with more room and more towing/hauling capabilities.
I still want another ranger/explorer/B2 or something for a weekend wheeler, but not any time soon.

I've noticed this as well, seems the new trend here is to actually own a RBV.

Personally I don't see myself getting rid of my Ranger for many, many years or by will. I don't have a problem working with a smaller interior or smaller engine (for now [although we own a few fullsize trucks I can use anytime], just people wanting more, but maybe don't necessarily need. Just seems people are forgetting/getting over why they bought a smaller truck.

I didn't buy my Ranger for any other reason but to have a truck. My dad had a Ranger since I was born, so I didn't really know what a bigger truck was, other then his regular cab shop trucks he had off and on.

My Ranger will probably always be with me, mainly cause it's cheap to insure, and if it runs, it could be a good back up vehicle. It just needs to run first, lol.

I got one because I was tired of my basic ranger and I needed to be able to carry more than 2 people. I don't post anything bad about people posting non-ranger stuff so I don't know where that comment came from. I've been keeping all my 150 stuff in one thread so I didn't clutter up the site with non-ranger mess but I guess I won't from now on.

150 atleast still a ford. its just a ranger with a few esteroids.. thats all :P

as much as id love a full size truck, for towing and hauling capabilityis it doesent feed my other needs... i need to be able to get the truck inside the farm trails... full size are just to big for them and could even be dangerous... and i really dont see me changing truck in a long long time. and if i do is for engine size other from the car itsealf cause i love it.
