need some suggestions..

alright guys im getting new tires here in the next month. the stock size is 255/70/16 on my 07.. im getting the wrangler duratracs so im going with a 265/75/16. soo i wanna keep my odometer the same because i bought my truck with 17 miles on it..so im kinda **** about keeping it correct. so this is where i need your suggestions. im looking at getting a tuner/programmer/whatever. i know some of you will say get the superlift true speed. but hey for a little more i can have a programmer thing.

now. i know some of you are going to say custom tunes..but i need this before the 28th of august when i go back to penn. and honestly im not to concerned about custom vs canned tunes..its a ranger im not expecting much out of a tune in the first place.. i just want my odometer to be correct.

so here are my options..

1. Superchips 1865 - Superchips Flashpaq Tuners - Overview - SummitRacing.com

2. DiabloSport U7157 - DiabloSport Predator Flash Programmers - Overview - SummitRacing.com

3. Superchips 1950 - Superchips Cortex Programmers - Overview - SummitRacing.com

now. i dont really know the difference between the two superchip ones so if someone can help me with that, it would be pretty sweet of you and ill give you a cookie..

between all 3 the only difference i can see is the diablosport will let me adjust cooling fan temperature.. which i really dont care.. but the superchips will allow me to change the top speed limiter.. its not really important to me because i dont really go any faster then 85 ever..but i would like to run my truck at the track once or twice to see actually how fast it would go.. flame on me for that, but it would be for fun.. thats it..

so after all of that..which one would you guys suggest?

I say go with Henson Performance and a sct tuner. you'll get a little more out of your 4.0 and give you give him a call tomorrow morning, he'll try his best to get it to you asap, very fast service with mine.

why not just have the speedo checked first? it may not change. i went from a 235/75/15 to a 265//65/17 and it stayed EXACTLY the same lol. just a thought...especially since height wise your looking at about the same change i did :)

i understand that the custom tunes are the best way to go but for 3 tunes and a sct being a bit over 500 according to the website its a little more then im looking to spend right now

Over $500! Damn where did you get that price? I got SCT X3 for a tad over $400. That was with shipping and handling and 3 custom tunes. I talked to the programmer at LaSota Racing. HIs name is Don and all he works on is FORD.

i figured someone would say that. its just purely for fun cuz my buddy wants to see what my ranger has..and so he can walk all over me with his duramax.. im probably not gonna cuz i dont even have enough time to get to the track between now and then. its just purely a fun thing. mostly out of shear boredom with nothing to do. ive never done it before. haha

from the website posted..389 for the x3 and 140 for three tunes. thats 529

also im trying to not spend so much on tunes because i just put new rotors and pads on the front.. and it needs a new upper control arm and a tie rod.. and i only have 41,000 on the truck

well im running 33's, and my speed-o is bang on. its actually 2mph fast according to gps.

check it with the gps first. and even still going frow were you are to were u want will only be slightly off....

and shop around for a tuner, some may actually include a tune.

Here's my work order. It came with three tunes. 87, 89, 93 Performance tunes. Price on the work order did not include shipping and handing however.
