Help me with 33x12.5 tires please

I currently have (4) 15x8 Pro Comp Rims, and I am in the process of lifting my V8 explorer.

Well I went to order (4) new General Grabber red letter 33x12.5x15 tires yesterday at Discount tire, and even put a $50 deposit down on them. Today I get a call saying that they are back-ordered for a full month. But the price they quoted for all 4 tires, installed, mounted, balanced, everything was just over $1000.

However, they said they can set me up with some BFG A/T's (4) for roughly $800, installed.

The Mudder KM2's are about $950, installed.

I would really like to get the General Grabbers, but Im just not sure what to do. Most of the driving will be on street, so the KM2's dont make too much sense but they look good.

Should I hold off on the General's? They a good tire? ( the red letter ones)

Or better yet, is there a place online that is selling any of these 33x12.5x15 tires for cheaper than discount tire?

Just a bit confused, very new to all of this.

Thanks for any help in advance

I personally think that the Bfg KM2 is one of the best tires around.

^ Agreed on the Duratracs. I had BFG A/T's before and the Goodyears are a ton better! The Generals are pretty cool but if you can't wait for them I vote for Duratracs!

Ya, 15x8 rim is perfect for 33x12.50's

BTW, I just ordered the 33x12.5 KM2's, pretty stoked, Discount tire said they will have them in on thursday.

Probably should have looked into the duratracs, but I am so sick of doing research on tires at this point lol

Good choice, I prefer BFG's over Goodyear, i haven't had a problem with mine ever.

I've had my Duratracs for a couple months now and absolutely love them. They are, in my opinion, the absolute best all around tire. Mud, snow, sand, anything. My dad ran BFG AT's and I always hated them.
