acetoning emblems, is there an easier way?

I like how these come out but aren't they discoloring with time?

I'm guessing you have to have an xlt to do this, cause mine are grey and black, and I think they're ugly as all hell. I'm thinkin about gettin new emblems all together.

why dont you put euro signals in there... looks pretty cool to me and cheaper

Put break cleaner on a rag, then rub the rag on it. Its very easy and you dont need to remove the emblem. My boss did it on his F250 and Excursion.

will break cleaner hurt the paint if it gets on? isnt that stuff strong?

Acetone will hurt paint as well, basically anything you use to take the black off emblems can take paint off too.

I don't think I would mind having XLT on my truck. but I'm also thinking of shaving, so I'm not sure... hmmm, well, I'll take a look at em when we see each other next meet.
