yup thats right. got my warn manual hubs put on the other night and was testing them out yesterday, all was good. decided to drive to the store after a couple beers(me) and apparently got a little too far over the yellow line, saw headlights coming tried to slow down and swerve but didnt happen as quick as i hoped, clipped the guy driver's corners, hit the ditch and busted a power pole in half.

here's the thing. cops rolled me into the cell took a **** load of info and dad came and got me an hour later... got lucky... now i got a court date on feb 15th. what goes along with that?? i've never been to court, what if i lose?? got my license taken away for 24hrs then got it back again for 21 days then lose it for 90 days. idk man i cant afford this stuff.

I hate to say it, but you deserved this 110% buddy. I will admit, I may have indulged in a couple beverages and driven when I shouldn't have, but lately considering what all I could loose, or people I could KILL . . . how does that justify needing to drive? Especially around the holiday season, too bad you didn't run into a Stop-Check instead of getting busted this way, but we all need to learn our lessons, be it the hard or easy way.

Best of luck on getting this resolved, but I'm hoping you gain some knowledge with this dilemma.

PS - I put my Warn Premium hubs on last night, weird.

You're a retard. I hope they suspend your license for at least a few years.

You know what? I'm not gonna just leave this thread just yet... I hope this gets locked. I'm sick of people like you that make the WORST decisions that affect others, and then say that you "can't afford this stuff"....

Well buddy boy... you better be willing to afford to hand your *** over to Bubba in the cell next to yours 'cause that's where you deserve to be. You're only regretting it now because you got caught. I'm afraid to ask why your license was taken away for 24 hours the first time and 90 days the second.

My life. My family's lives. My friend's lives. They're all on the same roads that you decide to drink and drive on each day. Sell the truck if it's not a total loss. If it is, take the insurance money (assuming that you even have insurance) and donate it to MADD. No one on this board deserves to be hit by an inconsiderate driver such as yourself.

Rant over.
Hatred still exists.

I believe this is the law in Canada for first time DUI offenses. At least here it is.

Agreed. I'm happy to hear no one was hurt but just remember what could have happened next time you have a couple drinks and get behind the wheel.

Sucks that it happened. Thankfully nobody was seriously hurt or killed. Hopefully you learn your lesson and make better decisions in the future. You're gonna have to pay for the mistake, just take it and move on, you'll survive.

So does that mean our brilliant Einstein has had a DUI before? If that's the case, lock his *** up and take away his priviledge to drive for 10+ years AFTER he gets out of jail.

What if you lose what, dumbass? Really... No sympathy from me. You did it, you were wrong, you deserve what you get. Luckily you didn't kill anyone.

I had a buddy whole Rolled his truck on his way home from the bar, knocked the cab right off the frame. i agree it was a dumb decision. but I'm not going to be harsh about it, he made his bed and he'll lay in it.

Damn, **** happens buddy, People make stupid mistakes. I'm not ganna be an ******* to ya, but you can't be doing that stupid ****. Think before you act. I'v been in trouble with the law and it's not fun or worth it. Take your punishment and learn from the **** you have been through. That was a dumbass decision, but your fine in my book if you take this and learn not to make stupid decisions like this. Your lucky you didn't kill anyone.

And you all need to chill out, No one has sympathy for people who drink and drive, but you don't have to rip him like he is a piece of ****, I'm sure he knows what he did was stupid.

FWIW my best friend lost his little sister years ago to a drunk driver. A drunk driver hit their car with the entire family, and the little sister was the only one who didn't make it. Their family will never really recover from this.
You're playing with people's lives, not just damaging a car or losing your license.

When I was 13, one of my closest cousins was killed by a drunk driver.. think was, he was on the sidewalk riding his bicycle after school and teh driver ran off the road, ran him over, and got out of jail after a week. They claimed it was an 'accident' even though the lady had admitted to drinking just before.

In this case, you were obviously stupid enough to drink, and drive... and thats got no error in anyones book. No advice to be given on this - reap what you sow.

Relax dudes!!! He said "a couple of beers". A couple of beers won't necessarily impair you from driving. There is a reason a sobriety teest/breathalizer is administered. Otherwise everyone who admits having a beer to a cop would end up in jail.
I'm not on OP's side, nor am I justifying him either, but all you suckers should know all the facts before flapping your mouth and flaming him. I'm sure most of you have gotten behind the wheel with at least one beer in you before.

It doesn't matter the amount he had because different amounts effect people differently. A couple of beers COULD put him over the limit. Consuming ANY amount of alcohol and driving is just retarded period!
