This weekend I'm gonna hit up a couple junkyards around here and maybe Charlotte depending on what I can find. I'm gonna be looking for Rangers of course, would love to find a FX4 with goodies. But can look for other things if you want something.

I'm mainly gonna be keeping my eye out for a good 31-spline axle, skids, a step bar or just end caps, compressor hose, and a couple other things.

What else would you suggest I take if I find a good fx4?

Anything in particular you would want me to look for?

 

If you find a Fx4 level II take the seats, console, rear axle, tow hooks, skids. I would grab some mustang domelights and Expo OHCs too, you can sell those on here and make some money. If you would check the price on some Expo leather seats and let me know that would be cool. Good quality and gray. Also if theres in auto 3.0 4x4s down there let me know.

 

if you find the ranger buckets that are black with the red, let me know a price and pics please :)

I didn't want that stuff, I was just saying that stuff would fetch a good price on here being pretty rare. All I'm interested in is the leather seats and a 4x4 3.0.

The 30 bucks in gas wouldn't make it worth it for me.

 

If I can find a Fx4 level II that would just make my day, if it's still got what I want.

I also hope to find a Sport Trac or something for it's cluster and maybe a hitch to put on the front of my truck.

I'm taking notes, keep em coming.

 

If theres any 06-08 Rangers what aren't totally destroyed let me know as well, thats worth a trip down there.

 

if you find ANY interior parts from an 06+ ranger, take everything! You will make a fortune on here, the other ranger sites, and ebay!

 

Air bags from a 04 05 or 06...Mainly driver. Undepolyed of course

 

2002-2005 power mirrors glass broken is fine will be replacing it anyways.

power mirror doesn't have to work either just need the housing

 

If you can find some 98 2wd XLT fenders driver and passenger side and a tail gate for the step side bed... if you find them and their a price i like ill give you 30 bucks 10 bucks per item :) [and pay for shipping and the price of the parts of course]

Nope...those are regular old 'loop' style hooks. those aren't stainless either.


Most yards think those are gold....better off on the craigslist bro.

Finally made my way out there. They had plenty of Explorers and a few Rangers. I took a few things off this white truck. I took the air conditioner compressor hose, console, step cap, vent, and a auto window switch. This should replace the majority of broken stuff on my truck.











I should of grabbed that driveshaft, but didn't. There were a few things out there of interest, a few lights, pass side mirror, and misc interior things. But nothing else that I just had to have.

 

RIP Ranger RIP. No ranger should ever have to go through that.

Yeah, I got it because the one in my truck is cracked and wobbly.

I should of also taken the under dash console, just incase I tear mine up with switches or something. But I just grabbed one of the cup holder things out of it to replace my missing one.
