So I got a 99 ranger which has the the 3 bulb set up....
I only want two colors not three I only want white and red but I dint want to do the 3 bulb to 2 bulb convesion.

So I don't know much about the tails so give me your input please

Then use whatever color bulb you want.

 

drill out the housing on the new tail lights or follow the how-to

 

Just buy which ever never style you like and dremel out a whole for the third bulb. That's what I did on my '06 tails.

i would go with 06 tails, since the 03's don't have three separate bulb compartments. but that's just me. i've also bought and sold a set of 03s, a clear set, and now i'm on a set of 06s. so i guess i'm picky.

I'm using 3 bulbs with the 06 tails, blinkers on the bottom. I switched the reverse and blinker light sockets around as the 99' blinker socket fits directly into the 06' tails reverse hole. Then I cut a hole in the bottom to fit the 99's reverse socket(which is now the blinker socket).
