Hey people just got a 95 ford ranger, the power windows are not working. Took the motor out and were the metal gear sits inside of the big plasic poly one .it seems as if there are some lil round plastic pieces missing. From the picture i found on google i seen someone use small hex nuts in there place. Just for a lil jerry rigging would this be ok?.... by the kind of new to the diy auto fixes .

I don't see why a hex nut would hurt. Me, I always try to completely replace stock parts when/if they break.
