well today i was bored after class and i went on a trail i frequent and there is one section you can take fast and its like rollers and the a jump at the end.. well i finaly was like fck it and went faster and actually jumped it, well now i see why you desert guys do take em off.. just one more thing to go wrong.

noo it didnt fly off, but many of you know my new bumper, well those d-rings when flipped up stick past the top(so where the tailgate needs to lay) soooo when i jumped it, tailgate went up, as well as the d-rings, and the gate langed on them..ouch..

so now i got sweet scraches on it, at least no dents, and it kinda looks as if they might just be rub off from the d-rings like paint or somthn over my paint(guess i shoulda wrapped them in hockey tape like i wanted to do.

i'll post pics maybe, but wat do you think i can do do get it out?..i have to redo the back lower seem thats really rusty too.so maybe i can repaint like the lower half over.

hahaha you rock dude! a couple scratches is nothin if ya take it offroad much.. just put some touch up paint so when it happens again it won't be that big of a deal..

Wouldn't having the tailgate completely off leave you more vulnerable to the bed rails flexing and losing shape? The tailgate is a structural piece when it is up so I would think not having one at all could be damaging when your bouncing around like that.

yea im bored with mudding and umm.. i just watched Revalved and im so pumted to go jump again hah.. yes it will be on vid soon..suprisingly it handled it very well for minor suspention upgrades
