Almost there...
So my truck has been on jacks for almost 2 weeks now as I fix alot of junk, which sucks since its my DD and it's making life an expensive pain. But thought I would share some pics of what i've been up to and keep adding as I complete more stuff. Over the weekend I fixed the hole in the exhaust. Tonights project is put the newly rebuilt tranny back in place. The tranny has been rebuilt, shift kit, 2500 stall converter, and a new massive trans cooler.

Alright well got a bunch more done last night. Got the new cold air intake on it, just need to enclose it and keep it away from the hot little engine. Filled the tranny and radiator with fluids. Seafoam, but got very little smoke, so far not 2 impressed by the stuff. Also got a new windshield installed. Today the drive shaft is supposed to come back from the shop so I can set the TV cable and finally be back on the road!

It takes just over 12 quarts, about 12.5, with the large cooler on there, so I took that whole box and then some. The tranny is from a mustang not a ranger.
The log was actually there as a break away, wasn't holding ne weight, just there incase something ever happened I wouldn't be flat.
Just found out my driveshaft is all ready to go, so truck will be on the road TONIGHT! I'm pumped, it's been 2 weeks now....

I need to make a heat shield for the intake. Where it is gets good air only b/c the gap between the fender well and the header, but I do agree it could use more. It's WAY better than when I got it though. It had the stock air piping while a long conical air filter that went across the headers, under the alternator down to the frame. It was so far down it could get wet from the road and even worse the fan blew right on the filter, guess how well your MAF reads when it's got a fan pushin air past it....

[Done Ranting Update]
Well still been workin away on this blasted truck, what a money pit... I hope it's almost done for a very long time but I know that is a pipe dream.
I love hearing this new intake, has a cool suction sound, especially when u come off the throttle
Been workin on correcting a vibration i've had and ended up putting in 4* pinion angle shims a couple hours ago that took care of the vibrations, and seem to have given me a slight vibration at 25 mph, but that's fine I guess.
Had a clunk in the front end I hadn't been able to find, but did tonight, was a bad shock that had worn through the rubber bushings and had come loose, the shock was bad as well so i'm ordering new ones tonight.
This Friday i'm taking the truck on a 1200+ miles road trip so we'll see if all this time and money has paid off or not.
