This is the first MOD I did to my truck...
Get a cheap test light, everything else is simple...
You are grounding the marker light, to the hot wire on the turn signal. When the turn signal gets power, it breaks the ground on the marker.
Turn signal light goes on, the marker goes off...and so on...

Second Point-the turn signal is forward facing, which means you can't see it from the side.
Third Point-the corner marker light does NOT flash when the turn signal is on.
This mod will make the marker light flash off and on, opposite the turn signal flash...
Somebody has to have a video of this, this is waaaay to much explaining for something this simple.

Lemme give it a try...
This makes the (worthless) side marker light which usually just stays lit with the headlights/parking lights on, and makes it flash opposite of the turn signal which is incorporated in the headlight housing.
Instead of:
Flash.......flash.........flash.
You get:
Flash-Flash-Flash-Flash.
I have a 2000 and it was very easy to do using the diagram on daniel stern lighting. Basically instead of having the corner light connected to ground and power via the parking light wire, you cut the wire and connect it to the turn signal. When the signal is lit, ground is interrupted and the light goes off. When the signal is off, the circuit is completed and the light comes on.
And yes, it does work on the Generation 4's (1998-2000). If you're desperate I'll take pictures of mine.

its a simple mental picture.. the normal blinker.. the amber round light in the headlight is normaly all that flashes stock.
once you conect the right wires together with the outside corner lights, the power will switch off and on between the 2 when the lights are on, and when the lights are off they flash together cause there is no power to the corner for it to switch of and on, so it will come on with the power going to the blinker
as soon as someone gets a vid.. you'll be like....ohhhhhhhh haha
its all about the wires
