maybe if you go back the same color you might stay under 2 grand...
a good paint job will run you about 3k, if you have any customizations done...
this should take care of everything though, doors, door jambs, and all that other good stuff that usually doesn't get done...

it probably would if you wanted something really good...i don't mean like wicked customized though...something simple like ghost flames or some small pinstripes and whatnot...
3k definitely won't get you HOK paint...you'll prolly be able to get a decent shot of PPG for 3 grand and a couple shots of clear...and i doubt they'll put it in the oven to harden...more than likely will set out and air dry..

mine to have done JUST the silver inlay was $2000. i didnt see any reason to have the red redone because it still looks like new.
a good perfessional paint job will cost anywere between $2000 to $4000 depending on what you have done, like keeping the same color will be cheaper.
do the pinstripes yourself. it is really easy and the 3M pinstriping tape is cheap.

is there clearcoat on ur paint? if so u can LIGHTLY wet sand and buff the paint. it may not be 100% like new but it certainly be better.
i spent about $3200 to have my truck repainted, a bedside replace, fender replace and a few trim items replaced. this was on a fullsize truck, the bed was taken off, ALL the trim and windows were taken out (besides windshield) and this was for expensive paint (bout 1/3 was for paint) and it was all double or triple stage paint. then the body was wet sanded, cut and buffed. so shop around!

red is the most expensive color paint. I paid 1200 at good ole earl scheib to get my stang repainted and 4 coats of ppg clear on the 4th time they got it right but i wouldnt recommend them whatsoever. Good paintjob with PPG basecoat/clear will most likely run you about 2500-3500?? Depends on where you go check out craigslist.com and i bet youll find someone willing to do it on the side.
