Said farewell to my trusty ranger yesterday!!!
I have had her up for sale since June with no real serious action. In August, I advertised on craigslist and the calls really poured in. Finally, a guy called who lived an hour away and sounded very interested just by the description and the craigslist pictures. We met up and he checked the truck up and down. I kept the truck in great shape and cleaned it all around before we meet up to talk. He liked it, we made a deal and that's all she wrote
It is definitely bittersweet. I did not need the truck anymore and did not have the time or money to give the truck the attention it may of needed in the future. My grandfather died last November and as a result his car went down to Florida and my uncles Florida car came up here for me. It is a four door 99 Toyota Camry. Hate the foreign bs but it drives nice and is in great shape with only 80,000 miles, plus my 30 mile commute everyday is not as hard on the wallet in terms of gas usage .
Some of the older guys on here may remember me. It has been a good year since I posted anything on this site. I am working on finishing my bachelors up at Wayne State University then will be pursuing my LEO career. All that work has been taking up most of my time. A huge thanks to Zach Stone, Justin Higgs, Tyler Newell and everyone else who helped with the progression of my truck.
If you're still reading this, here are some pictures that show the progression of the truck. I bought her back in June of 2006 with 74,577 miles. Yesterday the odometer read 151,440.
My 17th birthday a couple weeks after I bought it:
Around 80,000 miles:
100,000 miles:
Ranger-Forums world record body lift:
3" Spindle lift same day:
Final product:
2-hours before I sold it:
and just for fun:
Many what a great truck. Many memories along with it. Can't wait until I get going with a career and begin looking for a new truck. I'm thinking full size Ford ;-) Thanks everyone on r-f, I learned a ton about a lot of things and met a lot of great people. Never would have imagined I would have had a truck like all the others ones I drooled over on this site. Once you find r-f you become hypnotizedddd
Take care everyone! I'll drop in once in a while to look at photos.
