Ok i need help fast and correct i cleaned my maf, aic and throttle body on thursday. Now today all of a sudden my engine started sputtering and temp gauge went up. I took it to oriellys and the comp said misfure at 1000rpm and also something with number 6 cylinder. When it starts up it is at 1000 then drops down to 5-750 on the tach. please let me know what to do. Im thinking i have fouled no 6 plug i did find a rub mark on wire 4 and i did use seafoam to clean throttle body, maf cleaner on the maf, and brake clean on aic it us a 4.0 in my 2005 fx4. Please help as i need to drive it home from work tonight and its like 24 miles. I am worried about the overheating as well. I would start by changing all the spark plugs, chances are they got fouled out from all the cleaner. It's also recommended to replace the spark plugs after you seafoam the intake as it is known for fouling out spark plugs. But I have never heard of a misfire causing the truck to overheat and my truck use to misfire a lot. That is probably a bad thermostat. I'd recommend flushing the coolant and replacing that. You should be safe to drive the 24 miles back home. I've driven 100 miles before with a misfire on cylinder 5 and 6 before.

ok thank you i will do that tomorrow i did limp it home and it was running poor, bad, good, poor, poorer worse then by home good then crap.I figured out the overheating problem...it was me when i screwed with the gauges thursday to try and remove the gauges to sand the backs to acomedate the new blue leds. I just never noticed it until i had the real missing problem so half is my bad and when one thing goes wrong, i am quick to think everythings wrong and related to the major one
