Guys, I'm new here so thanks for letting me join your group.
I live in Houston but I'm going to the country to reclaim a really nice bed and tailgate from an '89 Ranger and I need to know what tools I'll need to take to remove it. I have tools but I don't want to take more than I'll need.
And, if you have any hints or tricks they would be appreciated.

Its easy. 6 bolts holding it to the frame, 3 holding the filler neck on under the gas flap, and then disconnect the wiring to the tail lights. its easier to remove the tail gate first, makes it lighter by a good amount.
