Best breaks and rotors?

Just about due for new breaks. Would like to upgrade to some slotted rotors and good pads. Not looking to break the bank, but willing to drop some extra money. Any ideas?

I do a ton of mtn driving and endless offroading so I think its a good idea.

Stay away from slotted rotors for street vehicles, especially if you offroad, they do not help your braking performance and have many drawbacks. Premium rotors and ceramic pads will help your performance. EBC is a good brand.

Oh, I always thought slotted was the best... I could imagine them filling up with mud though... I will look into EBC, thanks.

I've had good luck with Centric Premium Rotors and Hawk Yellow Pads on multiple vehicles, anything from '93 Mustang to lifted Jeep on 33" tires.

Went with the EBC rotors (standard, not slotted) and the EBC7000 green pads. Had them about 4,000 miles now. Think I do have better stopping power. They made noise the first 1,500. In particular just a slight grinding sound when going really slow. Sort of like a stone was stuck in there, yet there wasn't. Don't make any noise now.

Have looked at Powerslot cryo treated rotors, sounds like the way to go
