Best engine oil?

what is the best engine oil to use on a 4-banger ranger?

amsoil hands down... mobil 1 is another good choice

I use regular havoline oil.....I assume thats what the previous owner had put in it too (regular oil)......its got 145k miles on it, and still has plenty of power (for a 4cyl) and doesn't appear to use any oil.

You'll get as many answers as you get responses, I use Mobil 1. Spend some time at Bobistheoilguy, and you will find more than enough information to choose.

this is what i use, and i change my oil every 3-5k.

Use any oil that is API certified, and the correct viscosity (5W30, or 5W20).
Stay away from Amsoil!! It's way over priced, and all but 2 of their oil products ARE NOT API certified!!! The reason it's over priced is because Amsoil is a MLM (Multi Level Marketing) company......
