Brake job

went and got me sum pads and rotors from advanced today. cost about $120
me n my dad gunna do it wednesday.
I been letting my sister use my truck and she calls me Thursday night (im on my way to Biloxi MS) and says that my truck is making a funny noise in the front end so my bro in law checked it out and told me that my front brakes were metal on metal. DAMNN!! I was Pissed. Women are so harsh on the brakes. lol So now im bumming rides evrywhere till wednesday. F My life. lol

wait.. you knew you needed new brakes and were going to replace them on wed, so you let your sister drive your truck... and she complains there is a funny noise... so YOUR BLAMiNG HER FOR BEING HARSH ON THE BRAKES??? brakes can go from squeeling to literally grinding in one day. it isn't her fault. it's yours for not replacing them sooner.

He bought the brake pads because he's been letting his sister drive it, and she said it started making a funny noise. Try actually reading a post before you berate the OP.

^^^ thanx. lol i didnt feel like re-explaining my self.
anyways im doin it tommorow. But i found a new problem today. I jacked up the truck and took the drivers side tire off and the splash guard is ripped? Anyone else ever had this problem? Any Mods?

yep i did. but it was the passenger side door smashed in on her vw... lol...

LOST ME!! lol by "splashGuard", i mean the thick rubbery material behind the tire that keeps water and mud out of the bottom of the enigine bay.

haha what i meant was whenever my wife drives it seems there is another bit of 'unusual damage' occuring!!

The female driver mods suck. A guy a work once let his wife dirve his Chevy Z24 Cavalier. It was a stick and she mangaged to snap both the front axles. I have no clue how to do that.

i went out the other day and found 2 nails in one of her tires which had about 12 lbs of pressure in it... how do you not notice that !!? lol

Not difficult with a GM product!!!
