getting a new ranger

im planning on buying another ranger but doing the opposite of what i have now. lowering it and putting a 5.0 in it. what is the best years to do the 5.0 swap??

This is exactly what i'm looking into doing, even got a 5.0 coming in the fall(doesn't mean I'm doing it soon though). I was thinking of getting a 06+ single cab white ranger lowering it and putting 03-04 cobra wheels on it( the shiny ones haha). not sure if this is the best year to get but thats what I'll be getting

yep 04+ your screwed. It's doable, but a royal pain and costly.

Huge wire change happened in 04. Everything earlier is pretty much the same as the expo

the 5.0 is coming out of a 90 grand marquis.

To keep costs down, you could also get a 98 ranger. Then get a 96-97 expo 5.0. That way you will not ahve to deal with ANY PATS systems

Throw a 01+ front clip on, and no one would know the difference

Only thinking that way because I have a 98 with a motor that the head gasket is a bout to go in....Sersiosly considering it
