i bought all my paint at a local professional paint/auto supply store called advanced color coatings. there are 3 places here in my area that sell it, and theyre all private, professional supply stores. i've never seen it in a big chain like walmart or kragen. if you can't find it, let me know and i'll get some quotes locally and ship it to ya for free :o) i think its like 9 or 10 bucks per can.

SEM, as well as other vinyl/fabric-specific products are made specifically to withstand that type of issue. i've had my interior painted for over a year and it still looks as good as the day i finished it. its roasted in the sun in 100+ degree weather, and been exposed to cold during the nights in 50 degree weather, and it hasnt caused a problem at all.

after messing my truck up trying the paint job in the wrong weather I discovered some products that might help some other people.
One was SEM flexible primer. If you need or want to make you dash flat after sanding it pretty good this is a nice place to start. Then I went over that (in one area, since its still work in progress). With Black satin SEM.
And the last product that I haven't used but found online was SEM clear satin, so that maybe when my gf decided to put her feet up on the dash it might not damage it as much :|
if anyones used a SEM clear coat let me know how it worked.
