4.0 DOHC in a Ranger???

I was doing some filter crossing for a customer with off brand tractors (aka non John Deere) in my Fleetgaurd filter book the other day. I noiced under Ford Ranger the normal engines, 2.3, 3.0, 4.0 OHV and 4.0 SOHC, as well as a 4.0 DOHC. I did not know there was such a thing. When and where was it used and what power did it have? Is it a misprint?

There is a 2.3L DOHC currently used in the Ranger but there never was a 4.0L DOHC Ranger.

yeah there was only two different 4.0L ever in the rangers. the 4.0L push rod aka OHV which was stopped in 2000. Then in 2001 the 4.0L SOHC.

think about it...the DOHC is Dual OverHead Cam...to me, that says 2 cams PER HEAD...not CAMS total, LOL....everyone's thought processes are different, so to me, it doesn't matter, LOL
